A Christmas Carol

The first Doctor Who Christmas Special with 11th Doctor, Matt Smith, will air on Christmas Day on both BBC One in the UK and BBC America here in the states. This is the first time ever that a Doctor Who episode is aired in both continents on the same day.

Here is the official synopsis from www.bbc.co.uk:

'Amy and Rory are trapped on a crashing space liner, and the only way The Doctor can rescue them is to save the soul of a lonely old miser, in a festive edition of the time-travelling adventure, written by Steven Moffat. But is Kazran Sardick, the richest man in Sardicktown, beyond redemption? And what is lurking in the fogs of Christmas Eve?'
Joining Matt Smith (The Doctor), Karen Gillan (Amy Pond) and Arthur Darvill (Rory Williams), Michael Gambon plays Kazran Sardick and Katherine Jenkins plays Abigail.
While I'm very excited to be able to get the Christmas Special the same day, I am a little apprehensive. The Christmas Carol story by Charles Dickens as this seems to be gleamed from, is not a favorite of mine, mostly because I feel it's been done to death. I also have some doubts about Rory and Amy being aboard a doomed space liner as this happened in "Voyage of the Damned" Just 2 years ago. However, if this last series of episodes as shown us anything, it's to have faith in Steven Moffat, he hasn't let us down yet.
Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol will air on Christmas Day at 9:00 pm on BBC America.

Rose

This is from Series 1 Episode 1, "Rose" from 2005. It features an Auton, the 9th Doctor, Rose and the Flight Control TARDIS. I like the picture itself, but I didn't do anything special with the background.  I plan on taking these figures either to downtown Canton or Massillon in the evening and take some pictures with some lit up shops in the background.

Victory of the Doctor!!

This is my blogspot all about Doctor Who.  Not only was November 23 the 47th anniversary of the very first episode of the original "Doctor Who" television show, but November 22 was the 1 year anniversary of my world being totally taken over by the TARDIS Traveling Time Lord.  To celebrate that, I created this, my place to talk about Doctor Who in all of it's various incarnations.  One of the first projects I have line up is to show off some of the photos that I have been taking.

A little over 2 years ago, I received a Nikon D60 Digital SLR. It's a great camera, but I'm not all that great at using it. So I thought I would practice taking pictures of my ever growing Doctor Who action figure collection.  Now, by know means do I think I have the most impressive collection, but I'm proud of it and I want to show it off. I am still missing a lot and I have a lot of gaps, but I'll be posting pictures of my figures in themes and settings that come from that particular episode.  I have to re-do the ones for "Rose" and "The End of the World" as I hadn't yet had the plan to try and theme them when I took them.  Please enjoy, and thanks for looking, I would really appreciate any tips on photography as I am a complete novice and everything I'm doing has been mostly self taught.
